Itinerary

Day 1 :   Arrival in Srinagar

  • Upon your arrival in Srinagar, take some time to explore the city, have lunch, and gather at Dal Lake around 2 pm. From there, we will transfer you to Sonamarg, a historically significant gateway on the ancient Silk Road connecting Jammu and Kashmir with Tibet. Sonamarg, now a popular tourist destination for fishers and hikers, holds strategic importance for the Indian Army since the Kargil War in 1999. Situated in the Kashmir Valley at an altitude of 2,730 meters (8,960 ft), you will spend the night in Sonamarg.

Day 2 :   Sonamarg to Wakha via Zojila Pass

  • In the morning, we depart for Wakha, covering a distance of 170 km in approximately 6-7 hours. The terrain is of intermediate difficulty, and on the way, we cross the famous Zojila Pass. En route, we’ll visit the War Memorial at Drass, the world’s second-inhabited coldest place. In the evening, we’ll visit the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek, a stone-carved statue. Overnight stay at Wakha.

Day 3 :   Wakha to Leh via Lamayuru

  • Today morning, we head towards Leh, covering a distance of 180 km in about 6-7 hours. The terrain is mostly basic highway. We’ll cross Namkila Pass and Fotula Pass, and on the way, we’ll pass through Lamayuru, known for its Monastery and Moonland, a picturesque landscape resembling the surface of the moon. En route, we’ll also visit famous places like Gurudwara Pathar Sahab, Magnetic Hill, and Sham Valley. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 4 :   Leisure day at Leh

  • This day is for you to rest and explore Leh at your leisure. You can visit local attractions and immerse yourself in the unique culture of Ladakh.

Day 5 :   Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass

  • Today, we ride 130 km for approximately 5-6 hours on intermediate terrain, crossing the epic Khardung La Pass at 17,982 feet. Nubra Valley is known for its sand dunes with white rolling sands and the double-humped Bactrian Camels. Visit Diskit Monastery, which houses a 33m statue of Maitreya Buddha. You can also enjoy various adventure activities in Nubra Valley. Overnight stay in Swiss camp in Hunder.

Day 6 :   Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok

  • We will ride towards Pangong Lake via the Shayok Route (east of Ladakh), covering a distance of 180 km in about 7-8 hours. The terrain will be advanced, with off-roading and water crossings. Pangong Lake, a stunning high grassland lake, stretches across the China-India border. Overnight stay at a Pangong campsite

Day 7 :   Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla Pass

  • Today, we head back to Leh, covering a distance of 180 km in approximately 6-7 hours. The terrain is advanced, and on the way, you will cross Chang La at an elevation of 5360m. Visit Thiksey Monastery and Rancho’s school. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 8 :   Leh to Serchu via Tanglang La Pass

  • We travel approximately 240 km in 7-8 hours through advance terrain, crossing Tanglang La Pass at 5328m (17480ft), the highest pass on the Manali-Leh highway. Overnight stay in Serchu.

Day 9 :   Serchu to Manali via Atal Tunnel

  • Today, we ride 180 km in about 7-8 hours through intermediate terrain. On the way, cross Baralacha Pass (15,910 ft) and enjoy the snow-covered Baralacha. Visit the beautiful valley of Lahaul and cross Sisu, Keylong, Jispa, and Darcha. Marvel at the Atal Tunnel, the longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet in the world. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 10 :   Departure from Manali to Delhi (Volvo Bus)

  • After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, you’ll have free time until 4 pm to explore nearby places like Mall Road and Hadimba Devi Temple. At 4 pm, gather at the Volvo bus stand for the overnight journey back to Delhi.

Day 11 :   Arrival in Delhi

  • You’ll reach Delhi around 9-10 am, concluding your journey with sweet memories of Ladakh.

Things to Carry

  • Warm Clothing: Ladakh’s high altitude brings cold temperatures, especially in the mornings and evenings. Pack warm layers, including sweaters, jackets, thermals, socks, and gloves.
  • Sun Protection: Ladakh has high UV levels due to its altitude. Carry sunscreen with a high SPF, sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and lip balm with SPF to protect yourself from the strong sun.
  • Medications: If you have any specific medications, be sure to carry an ample supply. It’s also advisable to bring a basic first aid kit containing band-aids, pain relievers, and any necessary prescribed medications for altitude sickness.
  • Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial in Ladakh’s dry climate. Carry a reusable water bottle and ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day.
