Day 1: Arrival in Leh
  • Welcome to Ladakh, a land like no other, extending from the Glacier to the main Great Himalayas.

  • Your adventure begins as you arrive at Leh Airport. The Golden Eagle Expedition Team will be there to meet you and take you to the hotel for check-in.

  • This day is dedicated to allowing you to settle in and rest before we embark on exploring the stunning landscapes and roads tomorrow.

  • In the afternoon, our Supported Team leader will meet you at the hotel to brief you about the trip. You will also receive your bikes and riding gear at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh City Tour

Day 4: Pangong Lake Excursion (3 Idiots point)

Day 5: Pangong to Hanle via Rezang La War Memorial
  • Travel distance and time: 200km / 6-7 hours on intermediate terrain.

  • Today, you will witness the real beauty of Pangong Lake. On the way, we will visit the Rezang La War Memorial in Chushul.

  • Hanle boasts a lovely Monastery that offers spectacular aerial views of the entire village, which is home to about 1000 people at an altitude of 4500 meters. The Hanle Observatory, operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru, is the second highest optical observatory in the world, with an installed telescope of about 2.01 meters (6.5 feet) in diameter.

Day 6: Hanle to Umling La and back to Hanle
  • Travel distance and time: 180km / 6-7 hours on intermediate terrain.
  • Today, you will ride on the highest motorable road in the world, Umling La, a mountain pass in Ladakh, India. It stands at an elevation of 5,640 meters and serves as the source for the Umlung stream that drains into the Indus and a tributary of the Kiungdul river that drains into Koyul Lungpa.
  • Overnight stay at Hanle.
Day 7: Hanle to Leh via Chumathang
  • Travel distance and time: 250kms / 7-8 hours approx. on intermediate terrain.
  • On the way, you can explore Chumathang (Hot Spring), Thiksay Monastery, and Rancho School. We will have a lunch break at Upshi village.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 8: Departure

      • To reach Leh by air, book a flight to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, or Srinagar. The flight takes approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. After landing, acclimatize to the high altitude and begin your Leh adventure. Remember to check travel guidelines and any required permits beforehand.
